A cut-down windscreen, tiny side windows, a low canvas convertible top and a low rear end: this Porsche 968 Roadster follows in the tradition of the Porsche Speedster. Porsche builds the unique study in co-operation with the American Sunroof Company in 1991. Because the Boxster internally takes shape as a successor to the “transaxle” model range at the same time, the Roadster remains a one-off. Both, the 968 Roadster and the Boxster study presented in Detroit in 1993, show the Porsche lettering on the tyres.
